He has the title of specialist degree in financial auditing, with proof by public examination, issued by the Polytechnic University of Lisbon, Coimbra and Leiria (2022).
Master's degree in international accounting (2010), degree in accounting and administration in the field of financial administration and control (2000) and bachelor's degree in accounting and administration (1998) from Lisbon Accounting and Business School (ISCAL) - Polytechnic University of Lisbon.
He has been a member of the Portuguese Order of Certified Accountants since 1998.
He has worked as an accountant, auditor, supervisor, and accounting and tax consultant, providing professional services to various national and foreign entities in the commercial, industrial, and service sectors. He has over twenty years of professional experience in accounting, auditing, and taxation.
He is an invited adjunct professor and has been teaching financial accounting and professional ethics at Lisbon Accounting and Business School (ISCAL) - Polytechnic University of Lisbon since 2010. He has currently been academic responsible for the subjects of professional ethics in the accounting degree programme since 2023.
He is a researcher in the area of accounting education in innovative pedagogical projects in the teaching and learning of accounting and has an interest in the history of accounting.
