O ISCAL recebeu, esta terça-feira, dia 9 de setembro, os estudantes Erasmus que vão integrar a comunidade académica durante o novo ano letivo, numa sessão de acolhimento que marcou o início da sua experiência académica e cultural em Lisboa.
A sessão de Welcome Erasmus, realizada no Auditório 1 do ISCAL, teve início com as palavras de boas-vindas do Presidente do ISCAL, Professor Pedro Pinheiro, que recebeu os estudantes e assinalou o início desta nova etapa.
Seguiu-se a intervenção do Professor João Assis, Pró-Presidente para a Internacionalização, que deu também as boas-vindas aos estudantes Erasmus e destacou a importância da dimensão internacional na experiência académica.
A sessão contou ainda com a intervenção da docente Natacha Ornelas, do Gabinete Internacional do ISCAL, que apresentou aos estudantes informações relevantes para o início da sua experiência na instituição e esclareceu algumas das questões.
Por fim, a AEISCAL e a ESN Lisboa deram a conhecer o trabalho que desenvolvem junto dos estudantes, apresentando as oportunidades e iniciativas disponíveis e reforçando o apoio à integração dos estudantes Erasmus na comunidade académica e na vida de Lisboa.
O Welcome Erasmus constituiu, assim, um primeiro momento de encontro e integração dos estudantes internacionais no ISCAL, num acolhimento marcado pela partilha, pela diversidade cultural e pelo espírito de comunidade.

ISCAL welcomes Erasmus students
ISCAL welcomed its Erasmus students this Tuesday, 9 September, as they join the academic community for the new academic year. The welcome session marked the beginning of their academic and cultural experience in Lisbon.
The Welcome Erasmus session, held in Auditorium 1 at ISCAL, began with a welcome address by the President of ISCAL, Professor Pedro Pinheiro, who welcomed the students and marked the beginning of this new stage.
This was followed by a welcome address from Professor João Assis, Vice-President for Internationalisation, who also welcomed the Erasmus students and highlighted the importance of the international dimension of the academic experience.
The session also featured an address by Natacha Ornelas, a lecturer at ISCAL and a member of the International Office, who provided students with relevant information for the beginning of their experience at the institution and addressed some of the questions related to their academic journey.
Finally, AEISCAL and ESN Lisbon introduced the work they carry out with students, presenting the opportunities and initiatives available and reinforcing their support for the integration of Erasmus students into the academic community and life in Lisbon.
The Welcome Erasmus session was therefore an important first opportunity for international students to meet and integrate into the ISCAL community, in a welcoming atmosphere marked by sharing, cultural diversity and a strong sense of community.
